This past weekend, I walked on fire. Yes, true story. Oh yea and I also attended Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within Conference in NYC and I can confidently say it transformed my life. Refer to the picture below for the visual of how much I loved it! :)
I’m a relatively new to the Tony Robbins world as I first heard of him less than 2 years ago. But as soon as I started researching and learning more his style, I quickly became engaged in his techniques and approach. I’ve been attending self-growth/spiritual conferences for the past 4 years or so and I really believe in the power of immersion to achieve results. When I found out he was going to come to NY, I immediately purchased the ticket to attend the 4-day conference.
I learned so much this weekend and as a Professional Coach that specializes in Empowerment, I am obsessed in learning ways to achieve goals successfully and faster. Which is why I am ecstatic to share this content with you!
Here are the top 6 most powerful lessons and techniques to achieve anything you want that I learned this weekend.
LESSON #1: RESOURCES OR RESOURCEFULNESS
When you’re in the journey of achieving a new goal, remember that resources is not the problem, it’s your own resourcefulness. If you are failing is not because you are lacking resources, it’s because you are lacking resourcefulness. When you are going through an experience that you deem is failing, consider how are you take responsibility? It’s never on the other person or the situation but it’s merely a reflection of yourself and what you are not doing towards your goal. It all comes down to your perception: change your perception, change your reality. Ask yourself: What could I do different in this situation? You’ll feel a sense of freedom knowing that you have the power within you to achieve your goals and it’s not dependent on others. Take responsibility within yourself and see the progress towards your goal improve tremendously.
LESSON #2: WHAT YOU FOCUS ON FLOWS
Are you always focusing on the amazing things that life has to offer? Or are you focused on what’s missing? When working towards a goal, it’s always easier to focus on the skill set that we’re missing or on the lack of time needed to sharpen those skills to achieve the desired goal. It’s critical to train your brain to focus on the things that you DO have going on for yourself and focus on the bad-ass qualities that you possess because that’s what going to expand. If you always focus on what’s missing, then it’ll be harder and even impossible to reach that goal. Trade expectation on what’s missing or where you think you should be for appreciation on where you are, the skills that you possess and how far along you are in your journey towards achieving success.
LESSON #3: RIGHT VS WRONG – COMES DOWN TO YOUR CHOICE
What’s wrong with things/people/situations is always available but so is what’s right. It all comes down to how you train your brain and how you want to experience life. The way to start training to brain is to focus on what’s right is to celebrate yourself and your wins throughout the day on every single accomplishment. It could anything from waking up on time, submitting the project at work on time, making a delicious dinner, etc. It doesn’t matter what it is but what matters is the celebration on a daily basis with an action such as clapping, smiling, victory dance and so forth. Doing this on-going will start re-wiring your brain to see what’s right instead of what’s wrong. This is a huge advantage when working towards a goal because you start enjoying the process and all of the amazing things you’ve done towards achieving success instead of focusing on everything that you haven’t done. Begin the celebrations and take notice of the changes in your life. (PS: I am currently celebrating me writing this blog with lots of dancing!)
LESSON #4: PLAYING SMALL
When you play small, you downgrade the excitement and joy in your life and you are training your brain not to experience joy. So STOP playing small and start celebrating all the things in your life, whether small or big and start re-wiring your brain and train it to experience joy and excitement and you’ll see your life begin to change by you experiencing more joy and excitement.
LESSON #5: EMOTION = IN-MOTION
Movement changes your bio-chemistry so if you want to change an emotion that you are experiencing, MOVE! It’s not enough to just repeat over and over again “I want to be happy, I want to be happy, I want to be happy” You literally have to shock your body through movement, feel the feelings and emotions of being happy and do a movement. What are some things that you do that make you feel good? Do you love singing in the shower? Or do you wake up and do 10 push-ups to get the day started? Think of one thing that you love to do and gets you excited and start doing it every day. Commit that at least for the next 10 days, you will do that one thing daily. I am committing today to you my amazing readers that I will dance to one song daily for the next 10 days. What will you do? You can shift your state (anger, frustration, anxiety) very fast by using your body. So next time you’re working towards your goal and you're feeling unmotivated, SHAKE THAT BODY and change your state to get you going towards slaying that goal you have.
